Speaking about Tanushree Dutta’s MeeToo claims, Nana Patekar claimed to be aware that the charges against him were untrue.
Tanushree Dutta caught everyone’s attention in 2018 amid the MeToo movement when she accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment. A police complaint against Nana Patekar resulted from her claims. Nevertheless, Tanushree’s claims were not sufficiently substantiated by witnesses or evidence, and the matter was closed after a year.
Nana Patekar has addressed the matter and claimed to be aware of the falsity of the charges made against him. In conversation with Lallantop, he declared, “I realized it was all a lie. So I didn’t lose my temper. Why would I be upset when it was all a lie? Furthermore, such events have already occurred and are already outdated. Why discuss them? The truth was known to all. What was I expected to say at the time, when nothing like that happened? All of a sudden, someone tells you that you did this or that. How should I respond to such things? Shall I claim that it was not me? I am aware that I did nothing.
“How can I shut anyone’s mouth?” he continued. I’ll take someone to court if they commit a mistake. However, I am also too busy for all that. We ought to be aware of our own good and evil. That is the solely significant factor.
For the benefit of the unaware, Tanushree alleged that during the recording of a Horn Ok Pleasss song (2008), Nana Patekar had harassed her sexually. After the actress protested to CINTAA in 2018, the matter was reopened. 2019 reports state that after denying the charges.
Nana received a clean sheet from the authorities. The actress was one of the first public people to lead the MeToo movement in the Indian entertainment industry. She has spoken out often about the challenges she has faced in the industry over the years.
Tanushree revealed an incident from Ujjain and mentioned that her car breaks have been tampered with a few times in an interview with Connect FM Canada. “I got into an accident, and it was really nasty. I barely avoided breaking a few bones. I suffered a significant amount of blood loss, which delayed my recovery from those wounds and set me back for several months.
Dutta went on to say that a maid who had been sent to assist her had been ‘placed’ to work against her opponents. “There was a maid who was, in my opinion, planted in my home, and I gradually became ill.” But now that she feels, “I have a sense that something was tampered with in my water”.
